High-Performance Concrete Runway Construction By Taajir
The Pakistan Air Force’s Farid Airbase in Rajanpur required a robust, high-temperature-resistant concrete runway to support its fighter jet operations. The extreme summer temperatures, reaching up to 150°C on the surface, posed unique challenges.
Taajir Construction, in collaboration with China’s CCECC, undertook this critical project, deploying advanced technology and skilled technicians to ensure durability and safety under extreme conditions.
How We Did It
We executed an advanced runway project in record time with our structured approach ensuring precision and efficiency in every stage of construction.
1
Preliminary Site Preparation
Detailed groundwork to stabilize soil and create a solid foundation under varying conditions.
2
Deployment of SP500 Wirtgen Concrete Paver
We utilized the SP500 for precision paving, achieving uniformity and resilience across the runway.
3
Thermal Resistance Measures
Implemented heat-resistant concrete formulations to withstand Rajanpur’s intense summer heat.
4
Collaborative Efforts with CCECC
Joint efforts with CCECC for skill sharing and equipment optimization.
5
Stringent Quality Control
Routine assessments to maintain quality under extreme temperature variations.
6
Completion Within Six Months
Efficient planning enabled the team to complete the project within six months, setting a record.
